Tracy Wood, CPC, Eli-MP, HHA, CFGP
Tracy Wood is a serial entrepreneur, healthcare executive, and technology innovator whose career has been defined by building companies that challenge traditional models and improve people's lives. Over three decades, she has founded, scaled, and led multiple organizations across telecommunications, healthcare, telemedicine, functional medicine, and precision health.
Today, Tracy serves as Chief Executive Officer of The DNA Company, where she leads the organization's global strategy, product innovation, clinical operations, education, and commercial growth. Under her leadership, the company achieved profitability for the first time in its history while significantly expanding its scientific platform, provider education, international partnerships, and precision health ecosystem.
Tracy's career began during the deregulation of the telecommunications industry, where she founded and successfully exited two long-distance telecommunications companies before they were acquired during the MCI WorldCom consolidation. As technology rapidly evolved, she continually invested in advanced networking certifications, including Cisco CCNA, CCDA, GTE University, Frame Relay, and other enterprise technologies, establishing herself as one of the industry's premier enterprise sales executives.
She went on to become the nation's top-producing Major Account Manager at GTE, holding the #1 position nationally for sixteen consecutive months while earning the prestigious President's Club Award. During the following decade, she was recruited by several of the world's leading telecommunications organizations, consistently finishing among the top revenue producers and President's Club performers.
A series of deeply personal healthcare experiences—including navigating a life-threatening illness within her family and later losing her sister to preventable failures within the healthcare system—reshaped Tracy's professional mission. These events convinced her that healthcare required fundamental innovation, greater accountability, and a stronger focus on prevention rather than disease management.
Determined to help transform healthcare delivery, Tracy entered the healthcare technology sector in 2009 by designing the business model for How2Connect.com, one of the earliest private teletherapy and telemedicine concepts developed during the emergence of virtual care.
She later conceptualized, funded, and launched Acute Care Triage (ACT), an internationally recognized nurse triage and telehealth network that connected patients with functionally trained physicians practicing across eighteen countries. ACT became an early example of integrated virtual healthcare, combining conventional medicine with functional health principles years before virtual care became mainstream.
In 2016, Tracy joined the leadership team of ROLA HealthShare, helping build a wellness-focused healthcare administration model centered on prevention, education, lifestyle medicine, and affordable access to care. The organization's philosophy of "Reverse and Prevent" reflected Tracy's long-held belief that individuals deserve personalized tools to proactively manage their health rather than simply react to disease.
Following ROLA's merger with The DNA Company in 2022, Tracy initially served as Chief Operating Officer before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2023. She has since led the company's strategic transformation into one of the world's leading functional genomics organizations.
Her leadership has included:
- Driving the company to profitability for the first time in its history.
- Building a scalable precision health delivery model.
- Developing the company's virtual clinic and nationwide concierge care platform.
- Leading development of mobile primary care initiatives.
- Expanding international technology infrastructure and distribution partnerships.
- Overseeing development of next-generation digital health applications.
- Launching and securing international accreditation for DNA University, now recognized as a leading educational institution in Functional Genomics.
Tracy is passionate about making precision health practical, accessible, and actionable. She believes genomics, artificial intelligence, and personalized healthcare represent one of the greatest opportunities to improve quality of life while reducing the global burden of chronic disease.
Beyond her corporate leadership, Tracy is also the founder of Hera Nurture, a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization created to support women experiencing financial and personal hardship. Founded on the belief that caregivers deserve care themselves, Hera Nurture provides direct financial assistance, essential resources, and community support to help women regain stability, preserve dignity, and continue caring for those who depend on them.
Throughout her career, Tracy has remained committed to building organizations that combine innovation with purpose—creating businesses that generate both commercial success and meaningful social impact.
Tracy is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), Certified Functional Genomics Practitioner (CFGP), Holistic Health Advisor (HHA), and holds Executive Leadership Institute Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) certification. She continues to advocate for innovation across precision medicine, functional genomics, healthcare technology, and preventive care.
Outside of work, Tracy enjoys golf, flying drones, home renovation projects, Xbox gaming, and spending time with her two daughters, who remain her greatest source of inspiration.
